Bryan Ferry (Roxy Music) sings into CM67se on recent live session at RAK!

2015.03.11

AA is proud to say one of the classic art rockers and songwriters was singing into the CM67se on a recent live session at RAK studios, London!

Bryan Ferry initially found fame writing and singing lead vocals for Roxy Music in the 70's. Since then he has gone on to wonderfully rework other artists songs, and of course, continually writing his own music. He has sold over 30 million albums worldwide!

" Bryan Ferry live at RAK."

Robbie Nelson and Simon Willey were engineers for the live session. Robbie, recently won Breakthrough Engineer of the Year (MPG), let us know that the 67se was used for parts of the main vocal. READ MORE about the Bryan Ferry Session here>>

Some of it was also filmed for an upcoming video for Bryan's latest album, "Avonmore." We can't wait to see the CM67se glistening in the limelight in front of Bryan!

Robbie has been using the CM12se and CM67se since getting them a few months back.

"I've been using the CM12se as my main mono drum overhead on pretty much everything I've done since we got it. I am pleased to say I am still loving both mics"

A big congratulations on his Grammy win for Beck's "Morning Phase."

"We used the old API and the Neumann 47 for the most part, but as good as the gear was, Beck was just one of those people that sounds like the finished record straight off the bat."

Keep in mind, RAK didn't have any AA mics at the time of the Beck recording so perhaps next time....Robbie is one of the beta testers for the CM49 proto, and is currently running it through the paces. So maybe one of them has a future at the studio as well!
